New publication in the Journal of Group Decision and Negotiation  [21.10.21]

The Chair is pleased to announce that the paper "Analytical Comparison of Clustering Techniques for the Recognition of Communication Patterns" has been successfully published in the Journal Group Decision and Negotiation.

The study entitled "Analytical Comparison of Clustering Techniques for the Recognition of Communication Patterns" by M. Sc. Muhammed-Fatih Kaya and Prof. Dr. Mareike Schoop investigates the potential of renowned pattern recognition techniques of clustering in unstructured as well as high-dimensional communication data of the electronic negotiation system Negoisst. Thereby, a holistic research framework was presented which enables the systematic pattern recognition of the milestones such as the evaluation-oriented determination of the number of patterns, the active implementation as well as the subsequent performance evaluation considering their methodological challenges. The results show that valid, systematic communication patterns can be determined in the unstructured, high-dimensional negotiation data by considering the internal and external performance measures as well as the presented holistic research procedure.
